China’s Agricultural Machinery Industry Goes Global: 2025 Thailand International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition to Be Held in July
Amid the dual challenges and opportunities brought by economic globalization, China's agricultural machinery industry is actively seeking new avenues for growth. To support Chinese agricultural machinery enterprises in expanding into overseas markets, the China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association, China Agricultural Machinery Industry Association, and China Association of Agricultural Mechanization will jointly host the 2025 Thailand International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand, from July 23 to 25, 2025.
This event marks the first-ever international exhibition held overseas by China’s agricultural machinery industry, representing a significant step forward in advancing the global presence of Chinese agri-machinery enterprises, particularly within the Asia-Pacific region.
On October 26, 2024, the press conference for the 2025 Thailand International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition was held concurrently with the 2024 China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition.
At the event, You Ling, Vice President of the China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association, introduced key details regarding the upcoming 2025 Thailand Agricultural Machinery Exhibition.
You Ling, Vice President of the China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association
You stated that the exhibition has received strong support from the Ministry of Agriculture of Thailand as well as relevant departments in China. It is expected to become a key platform for agricultural machinery enterprises to showcase their latest technologies and products.
Exhibits will cover a wide range of categories, including power and transportation machinery, planting machinery, field management machinery, harvesting and post-processing equipment, orchard machinery, livestock machinery, agricultural machinery components, and other related equipment.
A series of supporting activities will also be held during the exhibition to promote international exchange, cooperation, and trade partnerships. The organizers will work closely with agricultural machinery associations from countries such as the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and Turkey to attract international exhibitors. In addition, partnerships with agricultural machinery associations in Thailand and the broader Asia-Pacific region will help bring in professional buyers for on-site visits and negotiations.
You Ling further noted that to support the development of Chinese agricultural machinery enterprises in Thailand, the three organizing associations will offer six key services:
Organizing field demonstrations,
Providing market consultation,
Assisting in market expansion,
Promoting enterprise collaboration,
Supporting product certification and promotion, and
Facilitating business matchmaking.
These initiatives are designed to provide a strong foundation for the successful entry and growth of Chinese agricultural machinery enterprises in Thailand and across the Asia-Pacific region.
Dr. Dares Kittiyopas, President of the Thai Society of Agricultural Engineering
As the central hub of ASEAN, Thailand’s agriculture sector plays a significant role in its national economy, with a steadily increasing demand for agricultural mechanization. In 2023, Thailand's total agricultural machinery imports reached approximately USD 7.16 billion, among which USD 1.331 billion came from China, highlighting the tremendous market potential for Chinese agri-machinery enterprises.
The Thai government is actively promoting its “Field Crop Production Plan”, aiming to alleviate labor shortages through mechanized farming, thereby further driving the demand for agricultural machinery. With the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), China and Thailand now enjoy greater facilitation in trade and investment. In addition, multiple bilateral cooperation agreements have been signed between the two countries, providing strong support for agricultural machinery trade.
At the press conference, Dr. Dares Kittiyopas, President of the Thai Society of Agricultural Engineering (TSAE) and co-organizer of the event, introduced the association’s background. The TSAE is a professional body comprising agricultural machinery manufacturers, importers, and distributors, covering key sectors such as harvesting machinery, livestock equipment, and power machinery. The association collaborates with both Thai government departments and private organizations, and is also responsible for the export and after-sales service of agricultural machinery in Thailand and neighboring countries.
