Preparations Progress Smoothly for Thailand International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition
The first overseas exhibition organized by China’s agricultural machinery sector—the Thailand International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition—is scheduled to take place in Bangkok from July 23 to 25, 2025. The event is jointly hosted by the China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association (CAMDA), China Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (CAAMM), China Agricultural Mechanization Association (CAMA).
To ensure the success of the exhibition, a delegation led by You Ling, Vice President of the CAMIA, Sun Can, Director of the International Exchange Department, Li Youji, Supervisor of the CAAMM, and Geng Kaimin, Deputy Secretary-General of the CAMA, recently visited Thailand. During the visit, they engaged in fruitful discussions with local industry associations, universities, research institutes, enterprises, and government agencies on topics such as exhibition organization, audience engagement, forums and conferences, product promotion, onsite demonstrations, and industrial cooperation.
Strong Government Support
The delegation paid a visit to the Economic Counselor and Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand. The Counselor commended the efforts to promote Chinese agricultural machinery overseas and pledged full support in coordinating with relevant Thai authorities to ensure a smooth and secure event.
In discussions with Mrs. Dares Kittiyopas, President of the Thai Society of Agriculture and Engineering—co-organizer of the event—she affirmed her commitment to mobilizing local enterprises, engaging the Thai Ministry of Agriculture, and connecting with provincial farmers’ associations. She also pledged to provide a detailed list of Thailand’s agricultural machinery needs.

The delegation also visited the Thai Agricultural Trade Union, which represents over 200,000 farmer members through 6,000 agricultural cooperatives, mainly involved in rice cultivation and export. President Xu Mingfeng expressed strong support for the exhibition, committing to mobilize a large professional audience and host forums and matchmaking sessions. He also proposed establishing a China-Thailand Agricultural Machinery Association to assist with after-sales services and product recommendations for Thai farmers.

Professor Wanrat, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Kasetsart University, introduced local agricultural needs, particularly the development of a prototype cassava harvester. The university hopes to collaborate with Chinese companies to refine and market such innovations. It also houses R&D and testing centers and annually hosts a 10-day “Farmer’s Festival” to showcase and promote agricultural technologies. The Dean proposed that Chinese exhibitors leave equipment for further demonstrations at the festival, supporting post-event promotion and sales.
